The goals of this time management course are:

To help participants to master the various techniques of time management. The course will give you a better understanding of your relationship to time and will help you to prioritise tasks so that you can significantly improve the effectiveness of your work.

This course, which is based on realistic simulation exercises and a comparison of different practices, will equip participants with techniques that can be employed directly in the field.

 

Training programme for time management course

 

Representing time: the time line

  • Food for thought: What is time? Is time a personal vision?
  • Perception of time: How do we use time as a resource?
  • Your stance in relation to time: associated or dissociated.
  • Direction in relation to time: past, present and future.
  • Subordination of time: influences on and consequences for your time management.

Exercice

Exercise on analysing the time spent per week on various activities; a simulation exercise on the subordination of time; debriefing and analysis of your relationship to time.

How do we manage our time?

  • The structure of time based on transactional analysis: rituals, automatic reflexes, habits, behaviour; retirement; pastimes; work; intimacy, psychological games and the drama triangle.
  • How to exit games positivity.
  • Injunctions and drivers.
  • Personal intentions.

Exercice

Participants will identify the different structures of time using a written text. There will be a filmed simulation exercise with participants learning to avoid falling into the role of victim based on a scenario defined in advance and / or a video simulation exercise: creating and anchoring personal intentions.

The main principles for mastering time

  • Major trends.
  • Time thieves: learning to manage them.
  • Managing the unexpected, managing interruptions, learning how to say “no”; communication management: incoming and outgoing information.
  • Shared time: optimising meetings and delegating.

Excercice

Simulation exercise with video: managing the unexpected and learning how to say “no”; group and consultant debriefing.

Prioritising tasks

  • Implementing SMART goals.
  • Taking a step back so you can identify what is important.
  • Taking time out to identify emergencies.
  • Basic Eisenhower matrix.
  • Using the “structured checklist” tool (tasks, priorities, deadlines and duration).

Exercice

Participants use the Eisenhower matrix to categorise their tasks according to their urgency and importance. There is a simulation exercise using the simplified checklist drawn up from the previous week.

  • Protecting yourself against stress.
  • Finding your rhythm.
  • Creating a stimulating environment: planning, organising and controlling.
  • Analysing your difficulties, capitalising on your actions.
  • Keeping your energy level: practical advice.

Exercice

Simulation exercises: recharging your battery, protecting against stress; developing improvement actions.
